  1. ojha sir when buddha lived an ascetic life for 6 years( in search of the answers to the worldly problems) and gave his body the top level of pain , in the end he understood one thing that to use our mind and wisdom we have to satisfy needs of the body to function.after this he left ascetism and his disciples left him thinking he went astray but he got enlightenment after satisfying body and doing meditation under the bodhi tree.
then how do you justify fasting .
i read this in buddha and his dhamma -br ambedkar

  2. Sir, I agree with what you said about all the saints and sadhus and the traditional Indian philosophy. But having said that I would like to draw your attention to the fact that every Indian saint from ancient India from Saptarishis to Aryabhata to Bhaskaracharya to Adi Shankaracharya to Swami Vivekananda, everyone both imbibed and criticised the present scientific discourse at their times. The gurus of the modern times like Sri Sri Ravishankar and Sadhguru although talk about vedanta and transformation of senses to consciousness, they also peddle pseudo-scientific stuff to propagate their thoughts which I find highly problematic in the present scenario.
